Graphite Mine Road/Station Boulevard Traffic Signal is now Operational

The traffic signal at the intersection of Graphite Mine Road and Station Boulevard is now fully operational.  A note for motorist traveling through this intersection: if you are on Station Boulevard approaching the intersection at Graphite Mine Road please stop at the white stop bars.  In order to receive a green light, you must stop at the white stop bars so the vehicle detectors in the roadway can sense your presence.

S.R. 1055, Section CB1, Graphite Mine Road (Southern Link) is Open

The Southern Link of Graphite Mine Road (a.k.a. the Eagle Loop Road) south of Byers Road opened to traffic in both directions on Wednesday, August 19, 2009!

The southern link of Graphite Mine Road ties into the previously constructed northern link, which extends from Byers Road north to Route 100  (south of Fellowship Road).  Now opened, motorists destined northbound or southbound along Route 100 have the option to travel directly from Route 100 onto Graphite Mine Road to bypass the Village of Eagle.  New traffic signals are now operational at the Graphite Mine Road intersections with Byers Road and with Route 100 (near Wolfington Bus Company)Through traffic (vehicles that are not destined to locations within the Village of Eagle) are encouraged to use this new road.

Motorists should also be aware that some minor construction activities will still be taking place within the limits of work in the coming weeks in order to resolve some outstanding inspection items. Caution should be used while traveling through work zones.

Thanks to everyone for your patience during construction.

S.R. 1055, Section CB1, Eagle Loop Road (Southern Link) Construction

This construction connects the existing Graphite Mine Road to Route 100, completing the Eagle Loop Road.  In addition to new roadway construction, this project also involves improvements along Route 100 between East Township Line Road and Ticonderoga Boulevard.

When completed, this roadway will give motorists the option to bypass Eagle and should reduce traffic congestion along Route 100.  Click the Transportation Improvement Plan below to see the construction expected to occur this year.

Allan A. Myers will continue to conduct minor construction activities relating to the Southern Link of the Eagle Loop Road (S.R. 1055 CB1).  The contractual agreement between Allan A. Myers and PennDOT states that all construction shall be completed by December of 2009.
